The Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, Refrigeration (HVAC/R) field has evolved significantly in recent years, requiring an increasingly higher level of training and technical expertise. Individuals with advanced technical skills are highly sought after, with current demand outweighing supply. If you are an independent thinker with a strong mechanical tendency who enjoys troubleshooting and solving problems, this is the career field for you. Where do you want to work? HVAC/R technicians can work in a variety of settings - from homes to commercial buildings to trains, planes and cruise ships. And with HVAC/R technology continuing to advance, this career will never get old. Changes in technology and continued education and learning are a part of what makes this field so interesting.
